FEBRUARY UPDATE

January and February seem to have vaporised rather swiftly, but it has been an extremely positive time for my writing projects, reading, watching, and… playing!

ISOLATION

My current project, Isolation, is currently in the ‘final editing’ stages, and by the time I write my next blog, I will be able to confirm the release date (likely Dec 26) and start sending out ARCs. The current blog for this novella is below, and I look forward to finally finishing this project.

When Edwyn visits the remote cottage where he and his late wife spent Christmas the previous year, he uncovers dark secrets about the mysterious forest that dominates the snow-covered horizon. A malevolent thought intrudes on his mind, suggesting that his wife’s peculiar illness was somehow linked to that place and to the tree she had cut down for Christmas. During a journey to scatter his beloved wife’s ashes, the truth manifests in a cruel and malicious fashion.

MY NEXT PROJECT

The table below shows my current WIPs (titles not all confirmed), and those with the highest scores are likely to make the cut for my next writing focus. If any fellow writers are reading this blog, this process absolutely helped me out. In general, I scanned the notes and drafts for all of these stories and worked out my scores from there.

My top three (currently) are:

Camper Van (working title) - A ‘devilish’ folk horror.

Meathead - My first extreme horror novella.

VOID - My first horror novel (85% written).

By the time I get around to my next blog, I will confirm my next project and put together a blurb.

READING

I have dropped a link below to my Goodreads profile, so you can see what I have been reading, and here are my latest recommendations.

PROMO

I recently ran a social media promo for Obsession, which was free for 5 days, and managed to shift over 400 copies (and counting). If only these were actual sales!!!

Hopefully, this will help lure new readers into my worlds of horror and encourage them to pick up one of my other tales of terror.

Amazingly, this put Obsession onto a few Amazon ‘Best Sellers’ lists, including those shown in the image below.

GAMING

Although I am certainly not a ‘gamer’, I always get excited when a new Resident Evil or Silent Hill game is released. Therefore, as soon as this blog is published, I will be straight into Resident Evil Requiem (obviously), which I cannot wait to play.

IN CLOSING

As always, thanks so much for your continued support, whether you are a reader, fellow writer, or blogger. Every mention, share, like, review, or sale goes a long way towards ensuring I keep creating more horror.

Yours in horror,

Daniel Lorn
